About Liz
I'm an artist and illustrator who took the scenic route by studying design and architecture first.  The good news is that my experience in design is what helped me fall in love with a clean aesthetic and midcentury art, design and illustration.  I'm an introvert, a chronic doodler and still add to the sticker collection that started in the early 80's. I spend my free time teaching art, raising creative kids and reading biographies. I share about teaching design thinking to kids on my blog:  raisingcreatives.com

Design Philosophy
Design, functionally and aesthetically, exists to enhance people's lives. Design should be user-driven with emphasis on problem solving. Design must be well rounded, drawing inspiration from politics, history, art, current events, literature, media and design itself. Design is an action; a process as well as an end result. Design should exist symbiotically as a noun and a verb.
